Lim Jing Xian is a classically trained pianist, music educator, and accompanist. She obtained her Bachelor’s degrees and Diploma in Music, specialising in classical piano performance in 2019 and 2021, from Lasalle College of The Arts. At Lasalle, she studied piano with Mr. Clarence Lee. Her mentors include Mr. Frank DeMeglio, Mr. Allan Fuller, Dr. John Sharpley, Mr. Arkadiuz Bialak, Mr. Aloysious Foong. 

 

Jing Xian has been actively teaching since 2017. She is a patient and encouraging music educator, who is dedicated to cultivate the love for music and learning in everyone. She specialised in individually tailored piano and musicianship lessons to all ages. She is committed to help her students to realise their potential. Students have the chance to play in studio recitals twice a year, which aims to develop their musicality and confidence in the music making.

 

She is also an active accompanist. She provides piano accompaniment for vocalist and a variety of instruments, including violin, cello, flute and more. She plays for students’ examinations, recitals, festivals and masterclasses. She has also taken part in musical competitions where she won gold awards for The Singapore Music Teachers’ Association (SMTA) Performers’ Festival & Chamber Music Competition (2016), 2nd Overseas Performers’ Festival (2018) and 3rd Overseas Performers’ Festival (2019). Her most recent competitions include getting the 2nd runner-up in the 1st WPTA Finland International Piano Competition and Star Award at Ars Nova Gala Concert at the Esplanade Recital Studio. 

 

She have performed at various venues in Singapore such as Victoria Concert Hall, Esplanade Recital Studio and Singapore Airline Theatre. Her performances include works for solo piano, piano ensemble, piano accompaniment for instrumentalists and dancers.
